Different projectors on the market have different resolutions and picture quality, mainly depending on the size of the DMD chip.
The common sizes of DMD chips are: 0.23, 0.33, 0.47 and 0.65 (unit: inch), among which 0.33 and 0.47 DMD are very common.
The larger the chip size, the higher the resolution, the better the picture quality definition, generally 0.33 is 720P resolution, and 0.47 is 1080P resolution.
3. Lens
Determine the close distance between the projector and the screen
The main function of the lens is to project and magnify the picture. The material selection is the best glass lens. When it comes to the lens, the focal length must be mentioned. Different projectors have different focal lengths, which are generally divided into general focal length, short focal length and ultra-short focal length. three kinds.
The throw ratios between them are different. For example, at the same distance of 2m, the general focal length can project an 80-inch screen size, while the short focal length can project a 100-inch screen size, and the ultra-short focal length can reach a 100-inch screen size with only 40cm size.
The commonly used projection ratio is 1.2:1. The smaller the throw ratio, the larger the screen size can be transmitted at a smaller distance.
